Linen Texture porcelain slab has no veining at all — a pale grey-white body with a woven face, closer to fabric than to stone. It is made honed only, which is what lets the weave show without a reflection sitting on top of it. 1600 x 3200 mm, 12 mm.
Linen Texture Porcelain Slab Surface
It is the textured plain design among our porcelain slabs, and it sits in our marble look collection. Porcelain slabs are the large-format end of the porcelain tile family, fired at high temperature.
The linen texture porcelain slab is fired, so a hot pan or direct sun leaves no mark. Ask us for a hand sample before you order. On a feature wall, two sheets can be bookmatched.
- A woven face, not veined — The ground is a pale grey-white with soft horizontal banding crossed by fine vertical striations — woven rather than veined, and there are no veins anywhere on the sheet. At a distance it reads as plain soft grey; the weave only appears close up. Nothing needs matching, so every piece cut from the panel is interchangeable with every other.
- Disinfected daily, unchanged — Resistance to domestic chemicals is classed GA, the top class, disinfectants included. That is the line that matters in clinics, dental surgeries, laboratory write-up counters and commercial washrooms, where the surface is wiped with something aggressive several times a day.
- Against honed limestone — The stones normally specified for this quiet look — honed limestone, plain Crema marble, Thassos — all absorb. They mark from a water glass, need sealing, and vary from block to block. This gives the same calm surface, holds one colour within a batch, and asks for nothing: order GSA163212N95 again next year and the design is the same, though a new batch can differ slightly in shade, so check it against a sample.
- Never wax a woven face — Neutral detergent and water is the whole routine, with no sealing and no annual treatment. Do not wax it: on a textured face the wax collects in the weave and dries patchy, which is the one reliable way to spoil this slab.
- Sintered, so no resin to soften — This is fired porcelain with no resin in it, so the same design runs from an interior counter out to an exterior bench without changing material.
Specifiers order Linen Texture porcelain slab where the surface is meant to disappear — healthcare, workplace washrooms, joinery-led kitchens. Send the piece sizes and we will quote slabs, or finished tops with the cut-outs made and the edges worked.
