Printed quartz is a quartz slab whose veining is digitally printed rather than formed in the mix. Most printed quartz carries that pattern in a thin top layer. At G-Stone we print onto our pure white quartz slab in Guangdong and then drive the ink 0.5 to 1 mm into the body, so the pattern survives a chamfer, a knock and a re-polish.
Every printed quartz slab we ship starts as one of our standard pure white quartz slabs. Four steps take it from a blank slab to a finished design, all on our lines in Yunfu, Guangdong.
Watch a printed quartz slab go through the line.

Quartz and resin are vacuum-pressed into a 3200 × 1600 mm pure white slab, cured, calibrated to thickness and polished, so the print lands on a flat, closed surface.

The artwork is printed at up to 600 × 600 dpi. That resolution carries the fine secondary veining that makes a Calacatta read as stone rather than wallpaper.

A vacuum or high-temperature, high-pressure stage pushes a nano-scale ink 0.5 to 1 mm into the slab's microporous structure. Our ink-penetration equipment runs at 300–400 °C, set for each pattern.

Polished or honed, the slab edge is checked before any profile is cut, because the edge is where printed quartz proves itself. We then cut to your DXF or dimensioned drawing in house and pack by room or by floor in fumigated crates.
The designs below are printed from artwork we already hold. Most buyers come to us for printed quartz slabs that look like marble, with Calacatta-style white veining, but the same line prints onyx-look and quartzite-look designs and art panels for feature walls and reception counters. Anything else can be matched from a sample or a photograph you send; we tell you what is reproducible before you commit.
The designs shown here are digital previews of our print files, not photographs of finished slabs. On a printed slab the colour differs slightly from your screen. Before production, check with us whether we have a small sample piece of the design.
See hundreds of printed quartz designs. Filter by look, open any design full screen, and send us its code for a price. We hold far more designs than we can show here, so there is plenty to choose from, and a design that is yours alone is entirely possible.
Many of our designs also exist as a mirrored print file. We print the design on one slab and its mirror on the next, so when the two slabs are laid side by side the veins meet at the joint. That is how an island, a waterfall end or a feature wall can read as one opened block of stone. Ask for the pair when you send the design code.
We price printed quartz as our standard pure white quartz slab plus the printing and ink-penetration work.
Our overall cost is competitive because the base is the plainest slab we make and the design comes from the printer rather than from the mix.
Tell us the design, the quantity and the port, and we send a full price within 24 hours.

Printed quartz solves a problem that pressed quartz cannot: getting a specific design without a production run behind it.
Because the pattern is printed, we can make a single slab of a design. The minimum order is one slab, and you can mix designs in one container.
A printed Calacatta starts from our plain white base slab, and the veining comes from the print file, so no special mix has to be set up for it. Send us the design code and we reply within 24 hours.
With the ink 0.5 to 1 mm in the body, a chamfer or a re-polish within that depth keeps the pattern. A surface print shows the base colour.
Send a sample or a photograph of the stone your customer wants, or even your company logo. We tell you what we can reproduce before you commit, and a design made for you alone starts from one slab.
Every slab of a design is printed from the same artwork file, so a long kitchen run or a whole hotel floor reads as one stone.
The ink diffuses into the resin under heat instead of resting on it, so colour stability and UV resistance are better than a printed finish layer.
You want a design your competitors do not carry, without committing to a full production run. Print it, test it with one slab, reorder when it sells.
Your client has a photo of the stone they want, and the job has chamfered or bullnose edges. We match the look and print it deep enough to cut.
Vanity tops refurbished on a cycle, reception counters that take knocks, rooms that must all match. The pattern stays through a re-polish and repeats from slab to slab.
Art panels, landscapes and one-off patterns for walls, bar fronts and reception desks, printed on the same quartz you specify for the worktops.
Our high-temperature process. Our ink-penetration equipment runs at 300–400 °C, set for each pattern.
Buyers often ask us first whether a slab is printed or full body. These are the three ways a quartz pattern can be made, side by side.
| Surface printed quartz | Ink-penetrated printed quartz (ours) | Full body quartz | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where the pattern sits | A thin printed top layer | 0.5–1 mm into the slab body | Through the full thickness |
| Chamfer or bullnose edge | Base colour shows | Pattern holds within the penetrated depth | Pattern holds |
| Re-polish during a refurbishment | Pattern is lost | Pattern stays if the grinding stays within the depth | Pattern stays |
| Design freedom | Any artwork | Any artwork, printed at up to 600 × 600 dpi | Built into the mix, set up per design |
| Minimum order | Varies by supplier | 1 slab | Batch production for long-term buyers |
| Price | Varies by supplier | Quoted with the base slab, within 24 hours | Quoted per design |

Printed quartz is engineered quartz whose veining is digitally printed rather than formed in the mix. Printed Quartz is also the name of our line: it starts as our pure white quartz slab, pressed in Yunfu, Guangdong; we print the design at up to 600 × 600 dpi and then drive the ink 0.5 to 1 mm into the body, so the pattern survives a chamfer, a knock and a re-polish within that depth.
In regular quartz the colour and veining are formed in the mix while the slab is pressed; in printed quartz a plain white slab is pressed first and the design is printed onto it. That makes any design possible from a single slab, and every slab of a design is printed from the same artwork file, so a long kitchen run reads as one stone. The pattern goes as deep as the ink, 0.5 to 1 mm on ours.
No. Ours is semi through-body: the ink reaches 0.5 to 1 mm, and a cut, chip or grind past that depth shows the white base. If you need the pattern through the full thickness, that is a full body slab from our Custom Quartz Slab Design line, made in batch production for long-term buyers; for a Taj Mahal look, our full body GS2696 already exists.
On a surface-printed slab, a raw edge or a chamfer shows the base colour. On ours, a chamfer or bullnose that stays within the 0.5 to 1 mm penetration keeps the pattern. For a thick-looking edge we mitre the piece, so the printed face carries down the side, and we check the slab edge before any profile is cut. Before the saw starts, we send you a cutting plan laid out against the actual slab.
Usually, yes. Sellers use 3D printed for the same digitally printed slab; it does not mean the slab is built up by a 3D printer. The useful question is how deep the pattern goes: most printed quartz carries it in a thin top layer, while ours is driven 0.5 to 1 mm into the body, so the depth, not the name, tells you how an edge will behave.
Yes. Calacatta-style white marble looks make up most of our library, and Taj Mahal looks are among the designs we print most, from the classic cream-and-tan version to warmer, pinker variants. We hold hundreds of print files, and many also exist as bookmatched pairs. For a design you already sell, send the sample or the artwork and we tell you what we can reproduce before you commit.
One slab, and Printed Quartz can be mixed in one container with our other colours. Because the pattern is printed, a distributor can print a design, test it with one slab and reorder when it sells. Printed Quartz ships in 7 to 15 days, on our standard 3200 × 1600 mm slab in 15, 20, 25 or 30 mm, polished or honed.
No. Most quartz is coloured and veined in the mix before pressing, and printing is one way of making it, used where a design has to be precise or ordered in small numbers, such as a design competitors do not carry or a stone matched from a client's photo. The edge tells you which you have: on full body quartz the pattern runs through the whole thickness.
