Solid colour slabs carry one even tone from edge to edge — no veins, no chips, no movement. Buyers call them solid color quartz countertops, pure colour or plain quartz countertops depending on the market; it is the same category. We supply them in beige, greige, mid and dark grey, black and a set of muted colours, with the tone held steady across the slab and across the batch, so a 3 m run or a wall of panels reads as one surface.
Flat colour is the usual choice for commercial counters, lab benches, vanity tops and any kitchen where the cabinets or the splashback carry the design. For the flat white designs see the Pure White collection. All quartz designs come in 3200 × 1600 mm jumbo slabs or custom sizes, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mm (20 mm is the most common for export), polished or honed.
Veining sells kitchens. Plain colour sells buildings. Almost every enquiry for these solid designs comes from the same three places: commercial interiors where the surface has to stay quiet, laboratory and healthcare work where a pattern would hide contamination, and volume residential where forty units have to look identical.
The specification logic is the opposite of a feature kitchen. A patterned slab is chosen for how it looks; a solid colour is chosen for how it behaves — predictable across a large area, easy to keep consistent within one batch, and never competing with the joinery or the brand colours around it.
| Issue | What it means on site |
|---|---|
| Joints are visible | No pattern to break the line. Plan the layout so seams land at a change of direction or under a fitting, and use a colour-matched adhesive |
| Batch matters more | A uniform field makes a small tone shift obvious. Order the whole job at once including offcut allowance; this is the material where that advice is not optional |
| Fabrication shows | A slightly uneven edge polish or a chip reads immediately. Solid colours reward a careful shop and expose a rushed one |
| Finish changes everything | Matt hides fingerprints on dark solids; polished gives depth on pale ones. On a plain ground the finish is a bigger decision than the colour |

| Material | Engineered quartz (93% natural quartz), listed first; also porcelain, cultured marble and terrazzo |

Quartz for durability, solid surface for invisible seams and integrated sinks. Solid surface is made of acrylic or polyester resin and a mineral filler: much softer than quartz and marked by hot pans, but because the colour runs through, scratches can be sanded out. Our quartz is 93% natural quartz, harder at Mohs 6 to 7 and, with water absorption within 0.04%, never needs sealing; it still wants a trivet, and its seams show more.
Yes, to a reference such as a Pantone, a RAL or a physical sample. A matched colour is pressed to order rather than taken from stock, so tell us early if the site date is fixed. Retail and hospitality brand-specification jobs use it often, and we hold the recipe for later phases, though a later batch can differ slightly in shade.
More visible than on any patterned surface, because nothing breaks the line. Plan seams at a change of direction or under a fitting, and expect the fabricator to use a colour-matched adhesive. A slightly uneven edge polish or a chip also reads immediately, so on a long uninterrupted run, agree the layout with us before ordering.
Matt on dark solids, where it hides the fingerprints a polished surface shows constantly; polished on pale solids, where it adds the depth a matt finish flattens. On a plain ground this choice changes the result more than the colour does. Every quartz colour we make can be finished either polished or honed, which is the matt finish, so simply specify the finish with your order.
Within one batch the tone is consistent. A reorder pressed from the same recipe in a later batch can show a slight shade difference, and on a plain ground that shift is easier to see than on any pattern. So order the whole job at once, including the offcut allowance, or send us a piece from the installed job and we match against it before pressing rather than after.
Yes. We press the solid colours on this page in our factory and cut them to your drawings: commercial counters, laboratory benches, vanity tops and wall panels, with the joints planned where a plain surface can hide them. Whole slabs are 3200 × 1600 mm, with a choice of 15, 20, 25 or 30 mm, and finished pieces take about 30 days.
The designs in our Solid Color collection: quartz does come in solid colours, and ours carry one even tone from edge to edge, with no veins, chips or movement. The range runs through beige, greige, mid and dark grey, black and a set of muted colours, in quartz and also in porcelain, cultured marble and terrazzo; pure whites sit in a separate collection.
Yes, for a standard colour we hold in stock: one slab is the minimum, so check stock with us. A colour pressed to order starts at one container, which can mix up to five colours, and takes about 30 days. Cut and finished pieces need no minimum quantity, but freight on a small lot is high. Flat whites sit in our Pure White collection and follow the same terms.
